Bo Levi Mitchell ruled out for remainder of regular season

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have officially ruled out quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell for the remainder of the regular season. Head coach Scott Milanovich confirmed that the 36-year-old is recovering from a serious ankle injury sustained on July 5 during a game against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Mitchell was carted off the field on a stretcher after his left foot was caught during a sack, requiring surgery shortly after. While the quarterback is reportedly making progress and is slightly ahead of medical projections, Milanovich stated that the recovery period is estimated at nine months. Although a return for the playoffs remains a theoretical possibility, the team intends to prioritize Mitchell's long-term health and avoid risking further injury.

Prior to the injury, Mitchell had recorded 1,107 passing yards, nine touchdowns, and one interception with a 78.2 percent completion rate.
