UFC fighter Bo Nickal has detailed a heated verbal confrontation with Olympic wrestling champion Gable Steveson that occurred during an RAF event in Cleveland. Speaking on ‘The Ariel Helwani Show’, Nickal explained that the tension arose after Steveson made unfavorable public remarks about him.
Nickal stated that while the two had previously maintained a respectful relationship based on their shared American wrestling background, the interaction turned into an argument regarding a potential matchup. During the exchange, Steveson reportedly claimed he would knock Nickal out. Nickal responded by expressing confidence that he would dominate Steveson in an MMA setting, citing his experience with defensive striking.
Nickal clarified that although the discussion became intense, he did not believe the situation would escalate into a physical altercation.
