Boadilla del Monte advances historic centre renovation with new sewage collector

The second phase of the historic centre renovation in Boadilla del Monte is progressing with the installation of a new sewage collector on Avenida Adolfo Suárez, which will run through Plaza de la Cruz. The works are the most complex part of the phase but are deemed essential for a basic service and are being carried out under the Canal de Isabel II master plan.

The renovation also includes comprehensive upgrades to roughly 20,000 m² of streets: complete replacement of the main sewage network, overhaul of sidewalks and pavements to improve accessibility, replacement of street lighting with LED technology, and renewal of urban furniture. Several streets have already been almost fully refurbished, enhancing accessibility. The municipal investment for this phase totals €4,246,942.7, with the goal of finishing the works before the town’s patron saint festivals in the first week of October.
