Board of Peace urges Gaza ceasefire adherence amid new fatalities

The Board of Peace has called on all parties to fulfill commitments to a Gaza peace plan and refrain from actions that could undermine the current ceasefire. Ahead of the United Nations General Assembly, the board emphasized the need for demilitarization, an Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and the establishment of a Palestinian civilian and security administration.

The board, chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump, noted that a detailed roadmap for implementing ceasefire stages was reached with Hamas on July 30. The plan follows a 20-point peace framework aimed at securing the release of Israeli captives and implementing UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

In a separate development, Palestinian health authorities reported that four Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks over a 24-hour period. Reported fatalities occurred in Deir el-Balah, Gaza City, and the southern Gaza Strip, involving drone strikes and airstrikes on vehicles. These incidents occur despite a ceasefire that has been in effect for nearly a year.
