boAt partners with Google Cloud to launch Crest AI audio platform

boAt, the Indian audio and wearables brand owned by Imagine Marketing, has partnered with Google Cloud to launch Crest AI. This new platform utilizes Google Gemini and Gemini Live to integrate generative AI into the company’s next-generation smart audio devices.

Unlike traditional voice assistants that rely on fixed commands, Crest AI is designed to support natural, flowing conversations and understand complex queries in real time. The platform aims to address India’s linguistic diversity by recognizing various regional dialects and nuances alongside English and Hindi.

Key features of the platform include Crest Translate for real-time, two-way translation, and Crest Ask, which serves as a conversational assistant for brainstorming and learning. Additionally, the integration with Google Workspace allows users to manage tasks such as Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Tasks through voice commands, transforming audio hardware into hands-free productivity tools.
