Boat Race Miyajima to host family sports event in October

Boat Race Miyajima will host the “Weekend Minna de Aso-boat” family event on October 24 and 25, 2026. The two-day event, held at the Boat Race Miyajima Event Hall, features various sports activities and workshops available to both children and adults free of charge.

Highlights include soccer clinics led by former Japan national team player Koji Morisaki and former Sanfrecce Hiroshima player Kohei Shimizu. Other activities include 3x3 football, amputee soccer using crutches, parkour-style tag, and a giant karuta workshop designed by university students.

While most activities are open to the public, the soccer clinics require advance reservations, which open on October 9, 2026.
