Boğaziçi University Technopark reports surge in AI projects
Cem Duran, General Manager of Boğaziçi University Technopark, has noted a significant increase in artificial intelligence projects, stating that nearly all incoming projects now involve AI technology.
This trend aligns with Turkey’s 2027-2029 Medium Term Program (OVP) released by the Presidency of Strategy and Budget. The program aims to strengthen technological independence and economic security by increasing domestic R&D, production, and innovation capacity in strategic sectors such as defense, healthcare, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence.
The plan includes supporting the transfer of technologies developed in strategic sectors to the broader economy and civilian use. Additionally, the program emphasizes workforce development through postgraduate education and continuous training programs in fields like cybersecurity, energy, mining, and space technologies, fostering cooperation between the public, academic, and private sectors.
