Boğazkale Municipality warns of wheelchair aid scam

Boğazkale Municipality has issued an official warning to the public regarding fraudulent activities involving the impersonation of the Mayor.

According to a written statement from the municipality, scammers have been contacting citizens under the guise of organizing aid for wheelchairs, requesting money from individuals. The municipality clarified that neither the Mayor nor the municipal institution has launched any such fundraising or aid campaigns.

Authorities have advised citizens not to respond to these requests via telephone or other communication methods and to report any such incidents to law enforcement immediately. The municipality stated that legal action will be taken against individuals attempting to gain illicit profits by using the name of the Boğazkale Municipality and its Mayor.
