Bob Brown, Rochester Sportswriter, Dies at 84

Veteran Rochester sportswriter Bob Brown died on Tuesday at age 84. Brown spent nearly four decades at the Rochester Post Bulletin, covering major events such as the 1980 "Miracle on Ice" Olympic hockey game and several NFL Super Bowls. He was also noted for his long‑standing involvement with Rochesterfest, the community festival previously directed by his late wife Carole Brown.

A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday at River Park Chapel in Rochester, Minnesota, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m.
