Bob Dylan continues touring at 85 with Long Hot Summer 26
Bob Dylan, the 85-year-old music icon, continues to perform live as part of his ‘Long Hot Summer 26’ tour. His recent performances, including a show at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California, feature a mix of new material from his 2020 album ‘Rough and Rowdy Ways’ alongside covers of rock legends such as Jerry Lee Lewis and Bo Diddley.
While his current stage presence is described as mysterious and his vocal delivery more moderate than in his youth, Dylan remains an influential figure. His career has been marked by deep respect from peers, most notably Johnny Cash. Dylan previously praised Cash in his autobiography ‘Chronicles: Volume One’, describing Cash’s voice as powerful enough to make the world feel small and calling him ‘the greatest of the greats’.
