Bob Dylan to release 39-disc Rolling Thunder Revue 1976 box set

Bob Dylan is set to release a massive 39-disc box set titled ‘The Rolling Thunder Revue: The 1976 Live Recordings’ on November 6. The collection documents the second leg of his legendary 1976 tour, spanning 22 performances across 22 cities, from Lakeland, Florida, to Salt Lake City, Utah.

The box set features 371 previously unreleased tracks, many of which were recorded directly from the soundboard to cassette by tour engineers. Some tracks have been newly remixed and remastered from original multi-track analog tapes.

In addition to the box set, a standalone 2-CD release titled ‘Live at Fort Worth Texas, May 16th 1976’ will be released on December 18. This specific concert was recorded on 2-inch multi-track analog tape, and 18 of its 22 tracks are being released officially for the first time. The tour featured various collaborators, including Joan Baez, Willie Nelson, and T Bone Burnett.
