Bob Tahri leaves Olympique de Marseille as sports coordinator
Bob Tahri has left his position as sports coordinator at Olympique de Marseille (OM). Although the departure occurred in September, it remained largely undisclosed until recent reports. The club has confirmed that both parties decided to “put an end to their collaboration,” though no official thank-you message or detailed explanation was released.
Tahri, a former athlete, joined the club in December 2024 at the initiative of Medhi Benatia. Originally hired for a “player care” role to support players and their families, his responsibilities expanded to include nutrition, physical preparation, injury management, and acting as a liaison between the professional team and the reserve squad.
The departure follows an internal investigation opened in June regarding allegations of moral harassment filed by several employees. While the club maintains the separation was mutual, reports indicate that Tahri’s involvement with the first team had been significantly reduced during the investigation, including limited access to sporting facilities and team travel.
