Bobby Nasution invokes heroic spirit for North Sumatra development

North Sumatra Governor Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution emphasized that the spirit, courage, and sincerity of national heroes should serve as a guide for ongoing development in North Sumatra. He made these remarks following the National Pilgrimage Honor Ceremony and Sacred Reflection held to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

The solemn ceremony took place in the early hours of Monday, August 17, 2026, at the Heroes' Cemetery on Jalan SM Raja in Medan. The event was led by Major General TNI Hendy Antariksa, Commander of the I/Bukit Barisan Military Command, acting as the ceremony inspector.

During the proceedings, officials reaffirmed their commitment to continuing the ideals of their predecessors for the prosperity of the nation. The ceremony was attended by Vice Governor Surya, members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), and various regional government leaders.
