Bobby Nasution praised for North Sumatra development efforts

During the inauguration of the North Sumatra regional leadership for the Ikatan Keluarga Minangkabau (IKM) for the 2024-2029 period, Andre Rosiade praised North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution for his intensive development efforts.

Rosiade, who serves as the Chairman of the IKM DPP and Vice Chairman of Commission VI of the DPR RI, highlighted that North Sumatra’s regional budget (APBD) is twice as large as that of West Sumatra. He noted that this significant budget allows Nasution to implement strategic projects in infrastructure, education, and health.

Key planned developments include a road project toward Berastagi using a Public-Private Partnership (KPBU) model, the completion of the toll road to Lake Toba, and a connected railway line from Aceh to North Sumatra. Rosiade encouraged the Minang community to support these provincial development efforts and expressed hope for expanded connectivity and job opportunities for migrants.
