Bobby Nasution urges accelerated development in North Sumatra

North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution has called for the acceleration of both physical and non-physical development projects across the province following the signing of the 2026 KUA-PPAS (General Budget Policy and Temporary Budget Ceiling Priority) agreement between the provincial government and the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD).

Nasution emphasized the need to expedite construction to avoid potential delays caused by weather conditions toward the end of the year. He specifically instructed the Social Welfare Bureau to accelerate the realization of allocated budgets for social assistance, houses of worship, and community organizations.

To ensure effective program implementation, the Governor is conducting field inspections, including a current visit to the Nias Islands. He also announced plans to work from various other regions, such as South Tapanuli, the east coast, and the highlands, to monitor development progress directly.
