Bobby Pulido retires from music to run for Texas Congressional seat

Tejano music artist Bobby Pulido has transitioned from the stage to politics, performing his final concert, ‘La Última Desvelada’, at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas. The event marked the end of a 31-year musical career for the two-time Latin Grammy winner, who shared the stage with his father, Roberto Pulido.

Pulido is now focusing his efforts on a campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives in Texas’ 15th Congressional District. Running as a Democrat, he aims to reclaim the district, which includes parts of the Rio Grande Valley, from the Republican Party. He will face incumbent Republican Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz in the election. Recent reports suggest the race remains competitive as Pulido seeks to mobilize the Hispanic vote in the region.
