Bobo-Dioulasso hosts 3rd Workshop on Complex Systems
The third edition of the Workshop on Complex Systems is being held in Bobo-Dioulasso, paying tribute to Dr Belem Mahamadou. The three-day event brings together researchers, professors, doctoral students, and professionals to address the challenges of understanding complex phenomena through scientific tools.
Organizing committee president Pr Boureima Sangaré emphasized the necessity of interdisciplinary collaboration, noting that complex systems involve many interacting components that cannot be solved by a single discipline. The workshop aims to unite mathematicians, computer scientists, biologists, ecologists, physicists, and engineers to share experiences and expertise.
The program includes over 70 scientific communications, plenary lectures, oral presentations, and practical sessions focused on simulation software and scientific programming. Key research axes include the interdisciplinary modeling of biological and ecological systems, as well as optimization.
