Bobzin apartment building destroyed by roof fire

A devastating roof fire in Bobzin, located in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, has rendered a multi-family residential building uninhabitable. The fire broke out in a room on the upper floor on the afternoon of September 13, 2026, and spread rapidly through the wooden roof structure.

Two residents attempted to extinguish the flames themselves before seeking safety, resulting in acute smoke inhalation. Both individuals were treated by emergency services on-site and subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for medical monitoring. Nine fire department units were deployed to combat the blaze, which caused immense property damage. Criminal investigators are currently looking into the incident.
