Boca Chica and La Caleta to host 17th sailing regatta

The 17th edition of the sailing regatta has been announced, scheduled to take place on October 17 and 18 in Boca Chica and the La Caleta area. The event is supported by the Embassy of Spain as the primary sponsor, alongside the Asociación de Pesca Deportiva Potiguar (APEP) and the Club Náutico de Santo Domingo.

Organizers expect between 18 and 20 sailboats, including both cruisers and racers, to participate. The competition will span two days and is planned to include one long regatta and two short regattas, though the specific schedule may adjust based on wind conditions. Spectators can view the activity from various points in Boca Chica and the Bay of Andrés as vessels navigate between one and three miles from the coast.
