Boca del Río invests 2 million pesos in public school improvements

Maryjose Gamboa Torales, the Mayor of Boca del Río, has launched the “Boca por la Educación” program, allocating approximately 2 million pesos to improve public school infrastructure. The initiative aims to provide more dignified learning environments for students and teachers.

The initial phase of the investment will focus on painting and waterproofing six specific campuses located in the Carranza, Remes, Costa Verde, Paso Colorado, Adalberto Tejeda, and San José Novillero neighborhoods. This stage is expected to benefit approximately 920 students and educators.

Mayor Gamboa Torales noted that legal requirements mandate that participating schools must have proper land titles and documentation to receive municipal funds. To address this, the city government will assist schools lacking proper deeds in beginning the regularization process so they may qualify for future aid. Additionally, the municipality plans to implement a program to install security cameras in schools to help parents monitor the entry and exit of their children.
