Boca del Río WTC expansion begins with 950 million peso investment
The expansion of the World Trade Center (WTC) in Boca del Río has commenced, with a projected completion date of November 2027. Veracruz Governor Rocío Nahle García announced that the project involves an investment of 950 million pesos.
The expansion includes the construction of an underground parking garage with a capacity for 900 vehicles. The project is expected to generate local employment.
According to Governor Nahle García, the initial bidding process was declared void because the submitted proposals did not meet the requirements set by the Veracruz Government. Following this, an invitation procedure was conducted, resulting in the participation of ICA, the company responsible for the original construction of the WTC. ICA was selected due to its expertise and possession of the original building plans.
