Boca Juniors advances to Sudamericana semifinals

Boca Juniors has advanced to the Copa Sudamericana semifinals following a 1-1 draw against São Paulo at the Morumbí stadium, securing a 2-1 aggregate victory. The match featured a goal from Leandro Lozano, though São Paulo equalized late in the game via Domingos Duarte.

Looking ahead to the domestic Torneo Clausura, manager Rodolfo Arruabarrena plans to field a full-strength lineup for the upcoming match against San Lorenzo. Despite a recent string of physical challenges, key players like Leandro Paredes are expected to start. The squad is currently navigating multiple competitions, including the Copa Argentina and the local league.

The club continues to manage significant injury concerns. Goalkeeper Agustín Marchesín is recovering from a serious knee ligament injury and is not expected to return until the January preseason. Meanwhile, Rodrigo Battaglia is anticipated to return in October following Achilles tendon surgery, and striker Adam Bareiro is scheduled for surgery after unsuccessful conservative treatments.
