Boca Juniors close to re‑signing Colombian forward Sebastián Villa

Boca Juniors are in advanced talks to bring Colombian winger Sebastián Villa back from Independiente Rivadavia. The player has accepted the general terms of a new contract, and Boca’s management says the agreement with Villa is "practically sealed."

The remaining hurdle is the transfer fee. Independiente Rivadavia is asking for close to US$7 million, while Boca initially offered the US$6 million clause that would release Villa. Negotiations between the clubs continue, but both sides appear to be narrowing the gap, bringing the move closer to completion. President Daniel Vila and director Juan Román Riquelme have confirmed their commitment to finalising the deal.

If completed, Villa would return to Boca for a second spell after five seasons with the club from 2018‑2023, adding a high‑profile option to the team’s attacking roster.
