Boca Juniors faces injury crisis as Alan Velasco sidelined

Boca Juniors is facing significant roster challenges following a 3-0 victory over Unión, which extended their unbeaten streak to 16 matches. Midfielder Alan Velasco has been sidelined for approximately three weeks due to a left adductor tear sustained during the match against Unión. His absence will impact upcoming fixtures against Instituto, Talleres, and the Copa Sudamericana semifinal against Vasco da Gama.

Velasco joins several other injured players, including Tomás Belmonte, Agustín Marchesín, Tomás Aranda, and Adam Bareiro. Despite these setbacks, the team remains in contention for a ‘quadruple crown,’ with active campaigns in the Torneo Clausura, Copa Argentina, Copa Sudamericana, and the annual league table.

Coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena has emphasized the need for focus and caution despite the team's recent success. Following the win, Arruabarrena highlighted the performance of Leonel Flores while noting that the squad must remain grounded as they compete across multiple tournaments.
