Boca Juniors eyes Sebastián Villa's return while hunting new coach

Boca Juniors, under president Juan Román Riquelme, is seeking a replacement for departing coach Claudio Úbeda. Riquelme has contacted several candidates, among them Gustavo Costas, Néstor Lorenzo, Antonio Mohamed and Diego Alonso, and former player Kily González has also been mentioned as a possible option.

The club is simultaneously pursuing Colombian winger Sebastián Villa, who has reportedly given a positive response to an offer to re‑join Boca. Villa’s release clause stands at US$6 million, but Boca is exploring ways to reduce the fee, including the possibility of using current squad players as part of the payment. Negotiations are expected to accelerate in the coming weeks.
