Boca Juniors looks to offload five sidelined players as transfer window closes

Boca Juniors can still move players abroad through FIFA's Transfer Matching System even after the Argentine transfer window has shut. Coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena has excluded five squad members – right‑backs Juan Barinaga and Marcelo Weigandt, defenders Mauricio Benítez and Marcelo Saracchi, and midfielder Juan Ramírez – from his plans and is seeking offers for them in the coming weeks.

Forward Nicolás Orsini terminated his contract with Boca early in the window after being told he would not feature. He subsequently signed on a free transfer with Barracas Central, where he will remain under contract until at least December 2027.
