Boca Juniors promotes Lautaro Bianco following Aranda injury
Boca Juniors has promoted 19-year-old Lautaro Bianco to the first team to address the absence of Tomás Aranda. The decision follows a training injury on August 27, where Aranda suffered a fibula fracture in his right leg. Aranda is scheduled for surgery and is expected to be sidelined for at least four months, returning during the 2027 pre-season.
Bianco, a versatile player capable of playing as an attacking midfielder or winger, has signed a professional contract through December 2029. He joins Leandro Lozano and Marco Pellegrino, who have also returned from injury to bolster the squad. Coach Rodolfo Arruabarrena is evaluating internal options, including Alan Velasco, rather than seeking external reinforcements for the attacking line.
The squad is currently preparing for upcoming fixtures, including a match against Vélez and a trip to face Gimnasia de Mendoza in the Clausura 2026 tournament.
