Boca Juniors signs Sebastián Villa as Napoli eyes Exequiel Zeballos

Sebastián Villa completed his medical examination and is set to sign a four‑year contract with Boca Juniors, with the club paying $6.5 million to Independiente Rivadavia for his full rights. Villa will wear the number 22 shirt, the same he wore during his first spell at the club.

Italian side Napoli has submitted a formal offer of roughly €8‑10 million for winger Exequiel Zeballos, whose contract expires on 31 December. Boca Juniors is reviewing the proposal as the player’s release clause stands at €14.5 million but the club hopes to secure a fee before he can leave on a free transfer.

Forward Adam Bareiro suffered a lumbar injury that will keep him out for at least 15 days, causing him to miss the upcoming Copa Argentina match against Sarmiento and the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana against O’Higgins.

Additional squad updates include Kevin Zenón relinquishing the number 22 to Villa, Tomás Aranda taking the number 10 shirt after Edinson Cavani's departure, and Ángel Romero switching from 29 to 11.
