Boca Juniors to honor Miguel Ángel Russo and prepare for Copa Argentina match

Boca Juniors is set to honor the late coach Miguel Ángel Russo by naming its new member gymnasium after him. The facility, located on Brandsen Street near the Bombonera stadium, is a 1,600-square-meter construction project featuring modern equipment, new locker rooms, and updated amenities. The decision was made in agreement with Russo's family following his passing on October 8, 2025.

Separately, the Boca Juniors squad has arrived in Rosario for a Copa Argentina quarter-final match against Racing Club. Thousands of supporters gathered at the team's hotel to welcome the players, including captain Leandro Paredes. The match, to be held at the Gigante de Arroyito stadium, will see Rodolfo Arruabarrena's side compete for a spot in the semifinals. Boca enters the fixture with an undefeated streak but will be without starting goalkeeper Álvaro Montero, who is on international duty with Colombia.
