Bochnia County hosts 19th Weekend with Monuments

The 19th Weekend with Monuments of Bochnia County is taking place from Friday, September 4, to Sunday, September 6. Organized by the Bochnia District Starosty, the Association of Bochnia Residents and Lovers of the Bochnia Land, and the Society of Lovers of Wiśnicz, the event features a diverse program of historical, culinary, and artistic activities.

On Friday, the festivities begin in Bochnia's Market Square with a Local Flavors Picnic and an outdoor dance event featuring DJ Piotr ‘Łapers’ Łapa. The program includes ecological workshops, an art exhibition by students from Wiśnicz, and a meeting at the Professor Stanisław Fischer Museum regarding the travel passions of Father Władysław Gadowski.

Saturday's schedule includes a guided walk along the Salt Trail, a tour of the Artists of Wiśnicz exhibition at the Old Bell Tower Gallery, and a historical walk through 17th-century monuments in Nowy Wiśnicz. Additionally, an exhibition of Jan Matejko's works rendered in cross-stitch will be presented at the House of Bochnia Residents, followed by a concert at the St. Kinga Oratory.
