Bochnia fountain vandal arrested after causing 60,000 PLN in damage

A 32-year-old resident of Bochnia has been arrested following the vandalism of a municipal fountain in the city's market square. The incident occurred around 1:00 AM, when the perpetrator used stones taken from a nearby mining wagon to damage the fountain.

Following the act, the suspect fled the scene but was apprehended by police later that afternoon around 2:00 PM. The individual has admitted to the crime, citing alcohol consumption as the cause of his behavior.

Preliminary estimates suggest the damage amounts to approximately 60,000 PLN. The cost of repairs will be covered by public funds, and the fountain area will remain cordoned off until restoration is complete.
