Infrastructure projects expand with major bridge works in Poland and the US

Various infrastructure and transportation projects are underway across Poland and the United States. In Poland, several bridge and road modernization efforts are being implemented. In Radość, a bridge over the Bednarka river is being rebuilt as part of a 2.67 million PLN investment. In Pewla Mała, a bridge over the Koszarawa is undergoing a 10 million PLN reconstruction, which will include a temporary crossing. In Kraków, GDDKiA has signed a contract for a 2.3 million PLN expansion of the A4 to S7 interchange to accommodate increased traffic. Additionally, roadwork in Laskowa and Kielce will cause temporary traffic disruptions.

In the United States, a massive 14.4 billion dollar program has been launched to construct 10 new bridge structures over the Columbia River. This project aims to replace aging structures that are vulnerable to seismic activity from the Cascadia subduction zone. The new design will feature two independent, single-level bridges with eight lanes, rail space, and pedestrian/cyclist paths.

In the Tatra Mountains, Tatrzański Park Narodowy is implementing a pilot program to reduce horse-drawn carriage use on the route to Morskie Oko, transitioning more of the transport to electric buses to mitigate environmental impact.
