Allendorf arson investigation: Series of fires targets sports facilities

Police are conducting intensive investigations into a series of arson incidents in Allendorf and Rennertehausen. On Sunday evening, August 23, two simultaneous fires broke out at a sports facility on Straße am Bahndamm, destroying two wooden huts belonging to a tennis club and a football pitch. The estimated damage is approximately 25,000 euros.

In addition to the successful fires, authorities are investigating two attempted arson cases on Straße Im Ried, where an unknown perpetrator tried to ignite a storage hut near the football pitch on Saturday and Sunday without success. In total, police are currently investigating eleven cases of arson in the Allendorf and Rennertehausen areas. Witnesses are urged to contact the criminal police in Korbach or the Frankenberg police station.
