Bochum hosts ‘Spazierbier’ craft beer tasting events

In Bochum, Germany, organizer and beer sommelier Thomas Somerville hosts ‘Spazierbier’, a casual beer-tasting event held two to three times a month. The gatherings take place on the lawn in front of the Bergbau-Museum.

During a recent session held in 35-degree heat, Somerville introduced ‘Saure Susi’, a craft beer from Worms characterized by lactic acid fermentation. The event involves participants tasting a featured beer before taking a short walk around the museum.
