Bodegas Martín Códax expansion declared of regional interest in Galicia

The Xunta de Galicia has declared the expansion and adaptation project of the Bodegas Martín Códax facilities in Cambados to be of regional interest. The initiative involves an investment of 18.6 million euros and will cover an area of more than 47,000 square meters.

The project aims to align the cooperative's facilities with the productive capacity of its 332 viticulturists. Key developments include increasing logistics storage capacity, expanding bulk wine provision, and enhancing grape reception and pressing facilities during harvest.

Additionally, the expansion will incorporate enotourism elements, such as potential restaurant services, and provide new offices and common areas for employees. The project is expected to create approximately 20 new jobs and support the production of wines under the Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin.
