Bodhi Uwland prepares for Noosa Triathlon following injury recovery
Gold Coast Suns AFL player Bodhi Uwland is preparing to compete in his first triathlon at Noosa on November 1. The decision follows a period of significant physical hardship where Uwland suffered from severe stress fractures.
To recover, Uwland wore a back brace for nine months, wearing it 23 hours a day. During this time, he discovered a passion for cycling as it was one of the few fitness activities he could perform. He is currently training five days a week, utilizing open water swims, long runs, and indoor cycling with performance tracking technology.
Uwland is undertaking this training alongside veteran teammate Sam Collins.
