Bodies discovered in vacant lots in Cancún and Tulum

Authorities in Quintana Roo are investigating the discovery of multiple bodies found in vacant lots in Cancún and Tulum.

In Cancún, a body was located in a green area within the Tres Reyes neighborhood near a construction site. While preliminary reports suggest there were no obvious signs of violence, investigators and forensic experts are working to determine the cause of death and identify the victim, who may have been experiencing homelessness.

In Tulum, a second body was discovered in a vacant lot on Sunday morning. This follows the discovery of another man's body in a downtown vacant lot on Friday, which was found in an advanced state of decomposition. In both Tulum cases, the identities of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding their deaths remain unknown as state officials conduct investigations.
