Bodo to host third annual Cauldron Festival in August

The third edition of the Festivalul Ceaunelor is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in Bodo, located within the Balinț commune. The event focuses on local gastronomy, community spirit, and family-oriented entertainment.

A central feature of the festival is a culinary competition involving dozens of teams cooking traditional dishes in cauldrons over open wood fires. Participants will prepare recipes using sheep, beef, and pork, as well as traditional bean and pork knuckle dishes.

In addition to the cooking competition, the program includes a football championship, artistic performances featuring music and dance, and a dedicated activities zone for children. Various food stands will also be available, offering desserts and snacks such as burgers, pancakes, ice cream, and kürtőskalács. Entry to the festival is free.
