Bodrum municipality expands weed removal and road cleaning to improve safety
Bodrum Municipality’s Parks and Gardens Directorate has continued extensive weed‑removal and public‑space cleaning since May. The effort targets fire‑risk reduction and urban aesthetics across parks, green areas, sidewalks and intersections.
By the end of May, crews cleared 96,731 m² of vegetation and cleaned 51,241 m of road and curb edges. In early June they added 7,987 m² of mowing and 15,659 m of sidewalk cleaning. Overall, more than 104,718 m² of weeds have been removed and 66,900 m of streets and curbs serviced at 276 sites in 28 neighbourhoods.
The municipality aims to maintain safer, cleaner public areas for residents, with the program slated to continue under the same schedule.
