Bodrum Municipality launches new cultural photography stops

Bodrum Municipality has launched new photography stops across the district to highlight the region's cultural heritage and natural beauty. Two primary projects, ‘Maviye Açılan Kapı’ (Door Opening to Blue) and ‘Maussolleion’, are attracting significant interest from both locals and international tourists.

The ‘Maviye Açılan Kapı’ project features blue doors placed at scenic locations, including Kumbahçe Beach with views of Bodrum Castle, the Turgutreis neighborhood, and the Yalıkavak Municipality Cafe area. Local artists contributed designs reflecting the city's cultural fabric, while knitting group trainees added decorative elements such as knitted mandarins and lemons.

Additionally, a modern artistic interpretation of the Maussolleion—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World—has been installed in Bodrum Square. Created by artist Mustafa İşeri and the Metalart team, this work aims to bridge the peninsula's ancient history with contemporary urban life. These installations are being widely shared on social media, aiding in the international promotion of Bodrum.
