Body found in Andorra ravine believed to be missing British tourist

A body believed to be a 28-year-old British tourist was discovered in a ravine in Andorra on Thursday, August 27. The discovery occurred in the Tristaina sector within the parish of Ordino, near the French border.

The individual had been reported missing after failing to appear at his hotel in Escaldes-Engordany for several days. Authorities noted that he had left his belongings and identity documents in his room and had failed to use a scheduled bus ticket to depart the country on Tuesday.

Reports indicate the man was an experienced hiker, though he lived with hemiplegia that affected the mobility of the right side of his body. Investigators believe he may have fallen in a ravine near the Port de l’Arbella at an altitude of approximately 2,600 meters. An autopsy is expected to be conducted to officially confirm the identity and determine the exact cause of death.
