Micaela Albornoz disappearance traced to Córdoba via bus footage and bank transactions
Micaela Albornoz, a 32‑year‑old woman from Rosario, vanished on 24 June after leaving her home in Villa Manuelita. Her family reported her missing and authorities launched a joint search involving provincial security forces and the judicial system.
Investigators reviewed surveillance video from the Mariano Moreno bus terminal in Rosario, confirming Albornoz’s presence there before she traveled onward. Financial records later showed her debit card being used in Córdoba for an ATM cash withdrawal and a purchase at a fast‑food outlet, providing the first concrete leads outside Santa Fe province.
Santa Fe’s Secretary of Institutional Management, Federico Angelini, said the probe combines camera analysis, banking data and coordination with Córdoba officials to reconstruct her movements. He urged the public to share any information that could help locate Albornoz, emphasizing the priority given to her case due to her documented mental‑health issues.
