Body of missing man found in Santiago del Estero

The search for 32-year-old Hernán Maximiliano Barrera ended tragically after five days when his body was discovered in a rural area near a gate in Campo Gallo, Santiago del Estero. Barrera had disappeared while preparing to travel to a new job at an agricultural establishment in Huachana. Notably, he left behind his prepared belongings and his mobile phone.

Investigators are analyzing a handwritten note allegedly left by Barrera. In the letter, he expressed concerns regarding suspicious movements in his bank accounts and electronic devices, as well as unrecognized messages and alleged threats related to the unauthorized use of his personal data. Authorities are working to determine the exact circumstances of his death and whether third parties were involved.
