Body of missing woman found in Amozoc, Puebla

The body of a woman was discovered in a rural area near the Chachapa Industrial Park in the municipality of Amozoc, Puebla. Authorities believe the victim may be 41-year-old María Luisa N., who has been missing since September 10 after visiting the Mercado Morelos.

Initial reports indicate the victim was found bound and with gunshot wounds. A written message, presumably related to criminal activities, was found near the body. The Fiscalía General del Estado de Puebla has cordoned off the area and is conducting investigations to determine the motive and identify the perpetrators.

One line of inquiry being explored by authorities involves potential extortion at the Mercado Morelos or conflicts between criminal groups. Forensic teams have transferred the remains for official identification by family members.
