Body of unidentified man found in Ahome drainage system

The body of a man in an advanced state of decomposition was discovered inside a drainage canal at the entrance of the Plan de San Luis ejido in the Ahome municipality, Sinaloa.

Local residents reported foul odors coming from the hydraulic infrastructure, prompting them to contact emergency services. Upon investigation, authorities from the Ahome Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection confirmed the presence of the deceased. Due to the condition of the body and its location within the drain, firefighters from Los Mochis were required to perform the recovery maneuvers.

The victim remains unidentified. Personnel from the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) arrived to secure the scene and conduct forensic investigations. The body has been transported to a funeral home in Los Mochis for an autopsy to establish identity and cause of death.
