Body Recovered from Rio Arrudas in Belo Horizonte

On July 30, 2026, the Military Firefighters Corps of Minas Gerais retrieved a male corpse from the Rio Arrudas, near the Copasa Treatment Station on Avenida dos Andradas in Belo Horizonte. The body was handed over to the Minas Gerais Civil Police and taken to the Institute of Medical-Legal Sciences for forensic examination to determine identity and cause of death.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities await the autopsy results.
