Boedo prepares 1,500 kilos of scampi for 20th annual festival
The village of Boedo, located in the parish of Culleredo, is preparing for its 20th annual Cigalada festival. This gastronomic event is expected to serve approximately 3,000 portions of scampi (cigalas). Organizers have prepared up to 1,500 kilos of seafood for the celebration.
The festival begins on Saturday, August 22, at 19:00, with portions priced at 17 euros, which includes bread, wine, and coffee. The event will feature musical performances by Unión y Fuerza, Grupo Ritmo, and DJ Teo.
Festivities will continue through the weekend, including celebrations for San Roque on Sunday, August 23, featuring a solemn mass and a traditional pig raffle, and concluding on Monday, August 24, with festivities for San Antón.
