Boeing and Microsoft launch Dataliner AI data platform
Boeing has introduced Dataliner, a new digital platform developed in collaboration with Microsoft to enhance aircraft maintenance and operational decision-making. Utilizing Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, the platform uses artificial intelligence to analyze technical and operational data from aircraft fleets.
The system aims to consolidate previously fragmented data sources, allowing airlines to gain a comprehensive overview of fleet status. This integration is designed to facilitate early detection of technical issues, predict maintenance requirements, and improve operational planning.
To address data security, the platform allows airlines to keep their data within their own systems, providing them with control over what information is shared with Boeing. Security measures include encryption, access permissions, and continuous monitoring. Dataliner will serve as a technological foundation for Boeing Global Services, supporting tools such as Asset Lifecycle Planning and the TechOps AI Agent.
