Boeing delivers 57 aircraft in September amid surge in orders
Boeing delivered 57 aircraft in September 2026, marking its highest monthly total for the year and an 8% increase in total deliveries for the first nine months of 2026 compared to the previous year. The company secured 165 gross orders during the month, a significant rise from 15 orders in August. This surge was largely driven by a major order from Turkish Airlines for 100 737 MAX jets.
The 737 MAX accounted for approximately 75% of September deliveries, with 43 units handed over to various airlines and leasing companies. Major recipients included Southwest Airlines with nine jets, United Airlines with five, and AerCap with six. Other deliveries included eight 787 Dreamliners, two 777 freighters, and four 767s.
For the first nine months of 2026, Boeing delivered a record 363 737 MAX aircraft, the highest number for the program during any nine-month period to date.
