Boerne and Bedford announce seasonal events to support local businesses

The cities of Boerne, Texas, and Bedford are launching series of autumn and winter events aimed at boosting local tourism and supporting small businesses through the holiday shopping season.

In Boerne, the Hill Country Mile district will host several initiatives, including Fall Diva Night on November 5 and the Pink Friday shop-small movement on November 20. The city will also host the Boerne Handmade Market on November 6-7, which is described as the largest handmade-only vendor market in South Texas. The festivities will conclude with the Dickens on Main celebration on November 27-28, featuring seasonal dining and live entertainment.

Downtown Bedford will host its Open-Air Christmas Market on December 5. The event is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will feature food trucks, carriage rides, kids' games, and a visit from Santa. The market aims to encourage residents to shop local and support community makers and merchants.
